About Us


Our highly trained staff is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of certified and licensed special education teachers, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and behavioral psychologist. The team has advanced degrees in their areas of specialty. Including, Exceptional Student Education (ESE), Sensory Integration/Processing, and other areas of expertise. They are dedicated to ongoing continuing education and the acquisition of advanced pediatric skills. At our practice, we focus on the abilities and the recovery potential in each child. In addition, we encourage parental input and understand the importance of parental involvement.


Perfect Therapy 4 Kidz also known as Perfect Speech, was founded by Dr. Lydia Reid CCC-SLP.D,

Dr. Lydia Reid is a certified speech-language pathologist/ Orofacial Myologist who has worked with Pediatrics since 1994.  Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Psychology, and her Master’s and Doctorate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has also received special training in Neuro Developmental Treatment, Aquatic Therapy, and Hippo Therapy for infants and young children with neuromusculature dysfunction and Prompt for children who suffer from apraxia. She also obtained extensive training in Conductive Education; and specializes in identifying individuals who may benefit from genetic services. After realizing families in urban, South Florida were going without and traveling great distances for children’s therapy services, Dr. Reid decided to open a small clinic in Homestead, FL. She has owned two multidisciplinary clinics for 8 years one in Homestead, FL and one in Davie, FL.

Dr. Reid has provided pediatric diagnostic and intervention services in various settings including rehabilitation centers, private practice settings, home-based settings, and special and public school settings.  Prior to opening her own private practice she clinically supervised speech and language pathology students in private settings and at Florida International University in South Florida as an adjunct professor. She has also conducted several in-service treatment labs on rib cage mobility and vocal production.

Dr. Reid has published research studies related to Neuro-Developmental Treatment on Airflow and Sustained Phonation in Children with Athetoid Cerebral Palsy, Language Comprehension Performance of African-American Children, and she has Developed a tool that aid Speech Language Pathologist in distinguishing phonological differences versus phonological disorder in children who speak African-American English.

She has extensive clinical experience in addressing a variety of communication impairments including ADHD, Attention deficit disorders, stuttering, disorders of early language development, disorders of speech sound production/apraxia, oral motor/feeding difficulties, fluency, voice, cleft palate, multiple disabilities (Cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Angelman syndrome), and global developmental delays.
